Both Credibled and Triton run Canadian criminal record checks, identity verification, employment and education verification, and reference checks for employers and staffing agencies. Both are Canadian companies serving Canadian hiring teams.
The differences are in how you get started, who supports you, how each handles candidates who are new to Canada, and how pricing works as your volume changes. That is what this page covers.
Canada admits hundreds of thousands of new permanent residents and work permit holders every year, and staffing agencies place a large share of them. A candidate who arrived six months ago has a thin Canadian footprint: a short address history, no Canadian credit file, and credentials issued abroad.
Credibled verifies a newcomer's identity from their passport or permanent resident card, runs the Canadian criminal record check on that verified identity, and adds checks from the candidate's previous country of residence through coverage in 200+ international jurisdictions. Education and employment abroad are verified at the source institution or employer.
