Police checks in Calgary, answered

Can I get a police check in Calgary online?
Yes. Credibled runs the check online against CPIC and emails you the result, typically in about 15 minutes. You do not need an appointment. If you have specifically been asked for a Vulnerable Sector Check or for fingerprints, that has to go through the Calgary Police Service.
Do I have to go in person?
Not with Credibled. Everything is completed online, including ID verification. In-person attendance is normally only needed for checks involving fingerprinting.
What will my result show?
Criminal convictions recorded in CPIC under your name and date of birth.
How much does a police check cost in Calgary?
Level 1 is $39 CAD and Level 2 is $49 CAD, with ID verification included in both and no access fee. Fees charged by police services are set by them and vary by check type.
Will my employer accept it?
Most employers, staffing agencies and landlords accept a name-based criminal record check. Regulated roles and anything involving vulnerable people usually will not. If you are unsure, confirm with whoever requested it.
How recent does my check need to be?
A criminal record check reflects the database on the day it ran. Organisations set their own rules, commonly within the last three to six months.
